TinyOS is an event based operating environment designed for use with embedded networked sensors. More specifically, it is designed to support the concurrency intensive operations required by networked sensors with minimal hardware requirements. There are hundreds of TinyOS projects throughout the world.  TinyOS 1.x is the first version of this operating system.  It works on many platforms including Mica2, MicaZ, TelosB, Imote, and Imote2.
